Harpenden HC - Useful Information

With over 300 members (including juniors) Harpenden is one of the larger clubs in Herts, currently fielding 4 men's and 3 ladies teams every Saturday and teams for each age group from Under 8 to Under 16 on Sundays / Mondays (refer to Junior Section of website for details).

If you live in the Harpenden, St Albans or the surrounding villages there are plenty of reasons to join us, and hopefully this page will answer some of the questions you may have.

Who do I contact?
You will find all club contacts on the Contact Us page, however if you are interested in joining us you can contact any of our Head of Performance, Men's Club Captain, Ladies Club Captain or Head of Juniors with any questions you may have.

How can I get involved?

At the beginning of the season we hold a club day which will be advertised on our socials and home page. If you've missed this then don't worry, feel free to turn up to any of the club training sessions held every Tuesday for ladies and every Wednesday for men. Further details of the training times etc can be found on the Training pages.

How much will it cost?
Further details can be found on our Subs & Match Tax page, however our Annual Subs range from £135 for juniors to £200 (early bird rate- £215 for standard rate) for seniors with match fees £10 for seniors.

When and where do matches take place?
Senior matches usually take place on Saturdays, with home games taking place at either the Woollams Playing Fields or Clarence Park. Away games for most teams are in the Herts & Beds area, however can occur anywhere in the East region for the higher teams. As all games take place on astroturf start times may vary from 10:30 to 16:00. Your team's captain will let you know where and when to meet when you are selected for a match.

When will I know if I've been selected for a match?
Selection will usually take place between Sunday and Tuesday. If you have made yourself available on the Availability page you will be considered for selection. You will receive an email informing you of your selection and asking you to confirm your availability. #
What club kit do I need and how can this?
