Webmaster's note: Okay, we don't have a match report for this week cos in the absence of the skipper, no-one's volunteered to write one. So, I'll just have to use some well-reasoned conjecture and a bit of poetic licence...

Harpenden 2s suffered a fourth consecutive defeat by losing to Ricky on Saturday, due in a large part to the absence of heroic, talented, inspirational and let's be honest dashingly handsome captain Fraser Tant. "Oh, b'jesus yus we missed Freerz" said Veteran Irish Poacher Niall McAlister. "Da goi's a luffin lujjunt. Withayt heem, whurr nat haff the team. Fur croin oit loid, we need hum buck, NIGH."

Basically, the 2s went a couple down early doors, before a mini recovery and a Dave Munton short corner brought them back in contention. But, a third goal just after half time restored Ricky's two-goal advantage, and that was that. Gutted. This result puts the 2s third from bottom, with a few genuine 6-pointers coming up in the next few weeks starting at West Herts on Saturday.
