Having had an excellent start to the season Harpenden 2s went into their third game against St Albans 3s on a high and ready for a good game; knowing that there is nothing more satisfying that winning against your local rivals. 

The first half of the game saw Harpenden play some good hockey, passing the ball at pace and moving it round the back as required.  The work rate of all the team was very high with everyone putting in 100% however unfortunately that opening goal was not to be in the first half.  This soon changed in the second half with a great drive from Olivia Skinner taking the ball into the ‘D’ and ultimately scoring.  This seemed to be the push Harpenden needed and was followed very closely by another goal scored by Claire Gardner from a short corner.  Yet another win for the 2s - great work everyone!
Next week Harpenden 2s take on our other local rivals Luton 2s (2pm push-back at Woollams).
