Harpenden 2s played Royston 2s this week and unfortunately lost 2-0 (their first loss since January 2007).  Harpenden got off to a good start, with some early breaks and opportunities to score but they couldn’t quite get that shot on goal and a slight lapse of concentration at the end of the first half led to Royston putting in their two shots….to quote one of the team ”never mind - big lash tonight!”    The second half was a different story.  Harpenden’s work rate was consistent and much more pressure was put on the opposition.  However it was not to be and the final whistle blew having worked our sock’s off but with no goals from our side.
