Harpenden Ladies 2s went into the match set for their toughest challenge of the season.  Top of the table clash – the big one! 
The first half started with Luton piling on the pressure but Harpenden responded well with a neat goal put in by Vicki.  As the half continued Harpenden kept their heads as the pressure was put on with good defensive work by the whole team and good clearance work by the defence during a number of short corners.  Good team work and movement by the forwards challenged Luton to their limits and as the half time whistle blew Harpenden found themselves 1-0 up.
Unfortunately Luton came out in the second half ready to fight back and it was not long before they had managed to equalise.  However, Harpenden were resilient and acting calm under pressure continued to hold their own and challenge the Luton defence.  The rest of the match saw both sides fight hard with the score being 1-1 as the final whistle blew.  A great effort by all!
