Harpenden 2s played Leighton Buzzard 3s at home today and won 2-0.  After starting off slowly, we continued to grow as a team.  The first break through came when Harpenden were awarded their first short corner.  This was dispatched to perfection with a straight strike at the goal by Claire.  A slight set back of a green card knocked us off the pace a little but we kept our mouths shut and carried on the fight.  Excellent movement in the ‘D’ during the second half allowed Beth a perfect opportunity to slot the ball quickly across the goal for Jenny to place it in the back of the net!  A great effort by all and a well deserved win for a team who really wanted it!!!
