Despite an early frost, the day was sunny and warm and perfect for a good game of hockey!
The first half of Harpenden’s match against Bishops Stortford started off a bit sluggish, not helped by playing the first half into the sun!  The team met at half time with no goals scored – a scary moment for a team second in the table playing bottom of the table.
In the second half though Harpenden upped the tempo and started to play their game.  However things were not going smoothly and a foot on the line (oh dear!) lead to a penalty stroke for the oppo.  A heroic save by Rosemary was the motivation Harpenden needed and with a fantastic solo effort in the D, Louise set the ball rolling with the first goal of the game!  From now on it was one-way traffic with three more goals scored by Harpenden (2 for Ellen and 1 for Becky) leaving the final score: 4-0 to Harpenden.
