Although they only had 10 players, due to availability issues, the Ladies 2s were not going to let that stop them from continuing towards their aim of promotion this season.

Opening the game with a quick goal from Sally Gilbert. the 2s found that through good teamwork, calling and moving for each other they were able to extend this lead to 3-0 by half time.

Subsequent goals came from Sally and a fantastic effort by Lucy Clark, which in conjunction with her overall performance earned this young rising star the Man of the Match award!

Unfortunately the second half did not run as smoothly with Leighton immediately putting on the pressure and eventually going on to score two scrappy goals making it an edgy final few minutes.

However, the Ladies 2s held on with everyone putting in 110 % to ensure the final score of 3-2 to Harpenden.
