This week the 2nd eleven had a cracking game against Broxbourne.

After being 2-0 down, Becky scored off a visionary cross from Lucy bringing the score line to 2-1 at half time.

Following a rousing half time team talk from our coach Tom Bunbury, we stormed out and levelled the score with a goal from Emma Simon, ten minutes into the 2nd half.

From then on Harpenden kept the pressure up which resulted in our goalie Emily hardly touching the ball in the 2nd half! Sally Gilbert then proceeded to slam 2 balls into the backboard from short corners taking us to a 4-2 victory.

Everyone played extremely well; there was good communication on the pitch, some great passing and fighting spirit. Becky Conagh showed great individual and team ability and won herself a man of the match performance. (Or should we say girlie of the game?)
